im about to go to Sumter (Shaw AFB) SC, and I'm curious to know what is in the car nearby cities and towns, culture (opera / theater), outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, camping, kayaking, etc.), whether at festivals or fairs, all I need knowing or recommendations on what I can not miss! anyone from Sumter or Shaw or the surrounding … any ideas?
I live in South Carolina, I can not tell you much about Sumter, but Myrtle Beach is about 2 hours away. There are many things to do there, so you should make a point to go there for a while. Charleston, SC is approximately 2 hours away also. There are many historical sites, and you can visit the old plantations. Columbia is approximately 1 hour.
