Kayak Weight Restrictions
River kayak race?
I am looking to buy a river in a kayak or canoe. A friend told me that as a beginner, I'll buy a kayak or canoe on the high side. The only problem is that I have to take 320 pounds (I imagine this is what he must stand with all equipment and myself). I want to start on a specific class 2 and class 3 + rapids in my area and possiblly more time to spend four classes quickly. Does anyone know of a good device for me to use it has a larger cockpit closed (I do not want just an open canoe, if possible, to avoid water). If not, does anyone know if you can put an extra 20-25 pounds on restrictions weight of a kayak as long as I'm standing in the kayak? Any advice will help the guys and an inflatable kayak / canoe is not excluded from this issue.
SOAR makes inflatable canoe Pioneer Pro and its big enough for one person and something of tonnage. My friend got one and I had SOAR Levitator raft. Holds 17 ft £ 3,000. We fly in rivers and hunt elk and griz. I do not know how the boat, but the holder over 350 and it handled pretty good! If you need to be cheaper, you can few whitewater canoes (hard type) covering cells and flotation for speed and enjoyment. I have 3 whitewater kayaks for touring and running, but the guys I know who can keep the speed sea kayaking expedition. Mabey there is something new, some heavier hull that can run and pulling gear. I would appreciate it!
