Alaska Travel: How the campsite to Denali NP?
David Kenai: Please answer this if you know. I'm going with my girlfriend in Alaska for 7 days, leaving August 22 and return 29 August. We know what we want to do kayaking or canoeing in Prince William Sound, Kenai Fjords see, Denali Flightseeing on, maybe one day fishing and hiking course. There are campsites available at Wonder Lake, then on the other camping in Denali you recommend? And Anchorage offer you direct us to the south or north to the first first? Anybody have ideas?
North or South first? Denali is dramatic, especially in the mountains and creatures. But Kenai Fjords PWS and spectacular as well, so bring in any order that you can get internet access. Usa a kayak in PWS: top closed, "touring kayak" aka sea kayak . A sit-on-top or a boat can not handle the waves coming up fast and has too much "freeboard" (ie the hull above the water) to catch the wind. You can rent kayaks, or Valdez to Whittier. Also consider a water taxi from the city either to you later in PWS in the past. I say "in Kano on the Kenai canoe but I do not know a source for rental of a good canoe (Mad River, etc..) Coleman canoes shit Just do not even have a yoke carrying property that you need to become familiar lake to lake. We send our own friends. And maybe you could, I do not know Craigslist to rent one from a resident who has a decent life. Wonder Lake is a camp, because the chance to see mountain thence. But while camping near the visitor center provides easy access to bus park and is the most important. 90% of wildlife you can see and all your access to the trail distance will not park the bus (or a private tour).
