What is the safest and easiest to handle a kayak or a canoe?
I want to buy my dad a kayak / canoe on his 70 th birthday. It is really good, especially the upper body, but I'm not sure what that is safer and easier to use and easier. He has a little trouble walking because of a stroke so I need something light for him to go and water. It would use it is not a river in the ocean.
We need more information. Your dad knows kayak or canoe? Can swim? Will he try to ship all alone? Are you considering a boat in tandem or solo? You might consider a gift of a canoe kayak school /. Or boat can be just as stable as another. If the river is Class I or less a canoe would be a good choice. It is easier to paddle and get in and out. I would also consult their doctor about the possible dangers and risks.
